Below are two images of a recent project using Paracloud’s GEM generative modeling software. It was developed for a proposal for the Orchid Ozone Mall at Dahisar, India.
Well, I’m determined I suppose. Some may call people like me a control freak. But whatever. I don’t like being a copy-cat. And you know what? It’s true, after you look at enough fractal art, the art itself starts to look like one big fractal - remember “self-similarity”? Not surprising with all the tutorials out there.
This is not to say that I don’t think that the tutorials out there are good. They are very good and very necessary and I recommend going through as many as you can get your hands on so you can see what some capabilities of the program are and so you can gain some control over your own creations.
My quest is to develop a style devoted to the Art Nouveau period. I have already created my gradients stolen from the wonderful Alphonse Mucha prints of the time. If you want a copy of the gradients, just email me, sharing is good.
Next, I will work on botanicals and curves.
bye!

Ok, so you might be wondering what emergence is, or you might be wondering what emergence has to do with fractals.
First off, emergence, simply put - and believe me it’s very complex, is when you have simple entities who operate in an environment, forming more complex behaviors as a collective. A good visual would be a school of fish or a flock of birds.
I believe that emergence is a display of living fractals. And like fractals, there is order and chaos associated with the collective group.
